A foot sealer is a type of bag sealer that is designed to leave the operators hands free. This allows for faster rates of production. Foot impulse sealers use a short burst of heat to seal the bag shut. These machines easily seal standard poly bags (LDPE). The seal width of the heat seal can be 2mm wide or 5mm wide depending on the requirements. The 5mm wide heat seal can close bags of a thicker size. A 5mm sealer will also tend to use up fewer replacement elements over time. Double impulse sealers have an upper and lower heating element to seal thick bags.
