A steel strapping tensioner is used to manually tighten steel strap around palletized product. The steel strapping is loaded under the feedwheel of the steel strapping tensioner and the operator moves the lever to tighten the strap. This type of steel strapping tool requires that the load be flat and that the strapping be secured with a metal seal. Steel strapping is used to palletize very heavy loads that cannot be handled with plastic strap. The longer the lever the more tension can be placed on the steel strapping. Brass strapping tools have the longest life and the feedwheels replaced. Please ensure that the tensioner you chose will match the strap size you require. A steel strapping sealer is used to secure the ends of tightened steel strapping together with a metal strapping clip. The sealer uses notches to crimp the steel strapping seal closed. Strapping crimpers can come with a ball on the end of the lever for the operator to grip. Please be sure to match the size of the sealer you choose with the seal width of the strapping clips you are using.
